so, have not cheated...even when the whole family had mashed potatos and corn and pies...went to weigh self this morning and it shows I gained 10 lbs. really???? Maybe it's because of PMS. Just want to cry, will never lose this weight! Trying to be more active. Not eating processed food except occasional atkins shake - rare...very discouraged but won't give up.

It doesn't appear that you are getting your total number of veggies in for your net carbs. This makes a difference.
Also try limiting your processed foods such as cheese and bacon. You'll retain water from all the salt used.

I agree with Sherilynn. I think vegetables make a difference. I also have a hard time eating enough vegetables (because there are very few of them I like). I have made a conscious effort the last few days to try to get my veggies in FIRST before I concern myself with meat. I have noticed that it makes me full faster and I don't need a whole lot of meat to be satisfied. I also follow Dr. Atkins suggested servings (2 cups salad and 1 cup other veggies or 3 cups salad veggies, I don't usually make it to the full 3 cups, it's just too much). I don't think I could eat 6 cups, which is what they suggest now. Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, I just don't think I could do it. Anyway, I hope everything works out for you and good luck to you!! :-)

Aww, you will do it. PMS is a big issue, too. I applaud you not caving into all the unnecessary stuff the family has eaten recently. Hope the scale is better real soon.

later that night I was almost 100 lbs. more...obviously scale not working correctly...new one and I have lost just shy of 20 lbs. so YEAH!! better than gaining!
