I tried some turnip fries last night with my steak. I sooooo miss potatoes! lol They were wonderful!

If you are missing potatoes, you really should give them a try. I found the recipe at Low Carb 360. She has a video for almost every recipe she does. The only thing I did differently than she did was cut up the 'fries' before boiling.

I'm going to try mashing them like potatoes. I've tried a couple of the cauliflower recipes and not that I think they are bad but, I think the turnips might be better.

We'll see.

mashed cauliflower is good too. you can barely tell the difference. thanks for the turnip tip, im going to try them.

i got the shirataki yesterday and can not wait to cook. i haven't been this excited since i discovered pork rinds are no carb!!!!!! i'm going to try no carb/crust pizza today. i'll let you no how it goes. thanks again for the tips.have a great day,sandy

no crust pizza yummy. i did a buffalo chicken version. you could top with anything you like, just beware of salty toppings as crust has plenty.

Where did you find shirataki?? I've searched everywhere and all I can find is the shiritaki with tofu. I will have to give the pizza a try, I know it loooked really good!!! I love pizza!

I found it at the health food store. other than the price there was nothing offensive about it. delicious dinner. my only recommendations are #1 rinse very well and #2 over spice your dish because honestly, the noodles don't have a flavor but the texture is great,at least the fettuccine was.thanks again heart.

I'll have to try one of the health food stores. I checked the Asian markets and I can't believe they didn't have them. What did you make with yours?

Hi, I get the noodles at my local Sprouts store & they will order things for you that they don't carry on a regular basis, also they are cheaper there than the health food store. The cauliflower pizza crust is pretty darn good and I also use the turnips in place of potatoes..they are closer than anything else I've tried.

Thanks for the info TOFU! I live in Virginia and there aren't any Sprouts here. It's looking like I'm going to have to order them online. *sigh*

You may want to try cutting summer squash into the shape of pasta you want and substituting that for the pasta. My favorite is half zuchinni and half yellow summer squash "pasta" with chicken breast Alfredo sauce.

i made salmon scampi over shirataki fettuccine. but i would defiantly up the garlic next time,and probably some cayenne. A bold,possibly cream sauce would suit the noodle well.I will defiantly use again. Cauliflower crust, ummm, i will try that one.TY But, that no carb/crust was yummy. I've been thinking about it all day. have a great day everyone!!!!!
