Went to Zumba at Maui 24Hour Fitness today; it was great after 5 days off. :o) I bought myself a foam roller for my tight IT bands; I'll donate it somewhere when we leave rather than try to ship it back.

I ate wonderful food today; grilled ono Caesar salad, papaya, pineapple (see new image photo), apple bananas, yum! I also enjoyed a fresh pineapple macaroon ; I probably shouldn't have had the ice cream lol.

I hope to go to Aqua Zumba in the morning, then walk all up & down Ka'anapali beach.

Life is good and sweet!

Ok... I'm going to say the thing no one else here has the guts to say. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. Okay.. I'm KIDDING. I just envy the HECK out of you right now but as your friend I'm so happy you're having a great time. You deserve it and I am really enjoying reading about it. (as much as I can, LOL...)

Bella, you would hate it here ; the food temptations are overwhelming (especially with my partner & I enabling each other). After my aqua Zumba class & beach walk, I discovered the Honolulu Cookie Company shop at Whalers Village. We had seen pictures of the pineapple -shaped shortbread cookies on the plane's in-flight magazine & thought they looked cool. I decided to go in & take a look since my partner likes shortbread; they had free samples of several flavors & the damnable things were really good; I bought 5. My partner wanted chocolate & got a bar with Mona coffee beans & macadamia that I "needed to finish or it would melt". We walked by one of those scales where you can pay to weigh & get your fortune; glared daggers at that sucker. Granted, we still had macaroons, ice cream, & birthday See's chocolates back at the condo. We had a lovely dinner of baked chicken breast that I'd dipped in liquid egg and then unsweetened dried coconut & some delicious seasoning blend I found here. We had a butter lettuce, cucumber, and tomato salad With light Goddess dressing, fresh pineapple, and baked sweet potato fries, as well as some yellow squash. I have yet to make my famous whole grain apple banana macadamia coconut pancakes with lilikoi syrup; maybe in the morning if I can't squeeze in another Zumba class. You would hate the macadamia sticky bun my partner got (while buying a chocolate chip pecan giant cookie for me). Resistance is futile; all I can hope for is balancing the treats with healthy choices and exercise. I did put well over 11,000steps on my pedometer, have been hitting the 10000 step mark daily; hope that helps, lol.

Food temptations regardless - rest, fun, no work... sun, sand, ocean view balcony, shorts, .... siiiiiiiiggggggghhhhh... I'm really happy for you.
