WOW, IS IT REALLY SATURDAY???

The last few days have flown by in a big hurry. I had forgotten what it was like to have a teenager in the house. :) Wednesday we went to mom's and had a great card game. Then played a little Yahtzee. Sam came over before we left, and went to his girlfriend's house for dinner, and came back when we got back from mom's at about 9:30. Sam is awesome, but I am too old for this! LOL I get up at 5:45, make him breakfast, then it's off to their house so he can care for the animals. After those chores are done, it's time for me to take him to school. I then come back home, watch the news, have a cup of coffee, and then take a little nap...lol I worked on the craft room some more, straightened up the house, did some vacuuming, ran errands, picked Sam up from school after band practice on Thursday and Friday, bbq'd, helped Dan with the dinner prep stuff, burned all the cardboard that has been accumulating in the garage (we don't throw it in the trash, takes up too much room), took the aluminum in for recycling, and started taking the water off the pool cover in the last 2 days. Wednesday we went to mom's and had a great card game. Then played a little Yahtzee.

The temperatures have moderated, melted most of the snow, but this morning I woke up to rain and lots of it. The dogs have been having a field day running through the lake that has formed in the front yard....and my floors reflect such. There are doggies paw prints all over the wood floors. I plan to vacuum and run a mop over them, but we are supposed to get more rain this afternoon, overnight, all day tomorrow, then change back to snow tomorrow night and into Monday, so it is probably a futile effort, but at least I'll feel better knowing I did it! lol

Food has been pretty good. I have had apple a couple if times this week, but that's okay...I have been missing my fruit, so I added 1/2 a gala apple. Exercise has been the running around, and that's about it. I forgot my fitbit several days, so I don't have an accurate count of my steps, but that's okay.

Today is mom's this evening, after we go pick Sam up from his music contest. He plays the tenor saxaphone and is quite talented. We got up at 5:30 this morning, as he had to be at school by 6:30 to catch the bus. I came home and took another nap! lol

Tomorrow we have only one service at 11 am, and believe me I am grateful. I was really dreading having to get up at 6 after losing the hour to DST. I love DST, but I don't sleep very well on Saturday anyway, so I was not looking forward to getting up after losing that hour. Now I can sleep in until 7:30 since we don't have to leave until 9:30! YAY!!

Well, that's about all the news that fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in yours!

TTFN!

You sure sound like a busy bee, but that is because you are. Kids are lots of work, but joyful, so enjoy while you can. As far as DST...I wish we would just leave the clock alone as it seems the change gets harder for me to adapt to the older I get...oh well, that is life as I know it!

I hate the time change. I have severe night blindness and just about the time I can leave for work at a resonable time, they change the clocks. Glad you are back to your busy, busy self.

Glad you are enjoying your nephew and you will so appreciate being just the 2 of you again. A true 2 in 1 blessing. I think I need a nap after reading your journal - lol. Thanks for replying to my rant, I knew you would understand. Onward and upward (or downward - lol). Enjoy your Sunday.
