Feeling pretty good today; been another long work week and out on the road again. Hard to eat a 'variety' of healthy foods while traveling. I can only have so many salads...

Still, I have remained true to my calorie goal and with FatSecret I am staying on track. Haven't got as much exercise in this week; my ankle/foot was hurting pretty bad (I'm hoping it wasn't gout, I have a couple of relatives who suffer from that and I've had it once. Whatever it was it's clearing up fairly quickly.) I felt good enough this evening to go to the hotel fitness center, well NEITHER machine worked well. The treadmill needed a rocket science to start it and I don't think it liked me being over 300lbs. The elliptical machine wouldn't even power on and also seemed flimsy. So, I just walked around the hotel parking lot perimeter 10 times. Mission accomplished!

I'm ready for the weekend and being home to where I can cook healty in my own kitchen!!!

Good for you for getting some exercise in and doing whatever it takes!!! Do some stretching with your ankle and don't baby it. If it is just a pain, it will go away. If it is gout, it will get worse. (Have had a few bouts and want it never again!) I think I am going to try to get out this weekend and do some walking. Snow is pretty much gone and I won't risk the chance of slipping and falling since surgery. Staying on track is so important. I am starting over but I will get it this time. I will lose weight. Thanks for all your support!!

Good job not using the shortcomings of your situation as an excuse to "take the week off." It's sad what some hotels consider a "fitness center" isn't it? At our weight walking can be a big calorie burner. It just takes more time. If you aren't in an area that is dangerous to walk, it lets you see the town up close too. When I was in Atlanta for a week, I walked almost 10 miles geocaching and according to the Endomondo app, I burned almost 10,000 calories! (If you decide to use that app, sign up on the website first and set your weight/height info! Otherwise it will not take into consideration you are hauling over 300 lbs around during your walk and the calorie count will be way lower.) I'm going to be out of town the next three days for work too. I made sure the room has a fridge and microwave and plan a run to the nearest grocery store so I can more easily control at least some of my meals. I'm not going to count on the fitness center though. I'd rather be out walking anyhow. (I get bored on a treadmill.)

I had started a regimine of Aleve and the pain was pretty much gone by the next evening. Most hotels I stay in have decent 'fitness centers' but this one was less than adequate. Round, I'll have to check that app out! Sometimes if a fitness center isn't available I'll just go to the local mall and walk. And I hear you on the grocery store, I work in them but then I have to make sure I at least have a micro/fridge in the room.
