STEADY WEDNESDAY...

We went to mom's on Monday evening, played cards, and had a nice time. Yesterday I spent the day working on getting stuff organized for vacation bible school. It is a cowboy theme this year, so I am contemplating making a chuck wagon for the central theme of the snack area. This means I really need to get cracking and figure out a plan for converting the coffee service table into a covered wagon/chuck wagon. Think Rawhide! LOL I also have to get a plan going for the backgrounds. I am thinking midwestern prairie. Grasses and wild flowers, with some trees and perhaps a stream. I already have the checkered tablecloths, ball jars for flowers on the tables, and a tripod cooking grate for over the fake fire. A lot of the things that I use are "recycled". Anyway, I spent the better part of 6 hours working on that and getting the craft/holiday room in order. I also needed to find all the Easter stuff for church, which I did. I still need to move the shelving unit down there, and put all the newly organized "junk" on the shelves, but at least it is all in the keepers, marked, and ready to be stacked. YAY!

Today I worked on getting the closet in the upstairs guest room straightened. We use it to store the cooking stuff that is only taken out periodically, like electric skillet, turkey fryer, turkey roaster, rice cooker...that kind of stuff. I also got the downstairs guest room ready for my nephew, who will be staying with us for the next 6 days. It will be nice to have a teenager in the house again. His family is going to Arizona for a wedding, and he had a solo on his saxaphone to perform for district band, so couldn't go. He has worked very hard for this, so I am happy that we could let him stay here and make sure he got to "strut his stuff", so to speak. Tonight we are headed to mom's again, for more cards and Yahtzee. Sam (my nephew) is invited to his girlfriend's house for dinner. Ahhh, young love!

Food has been good, and actually I have had more energy the last few days. Maybe this dreadful upper respiratory crud is finally on it's way out. I still have the cough, but the awful fatigue is beginning to ease a bit. Hoorah!

Mentally, well, that also seems to be better. Maybe it is the fact that I am getting more oxygen to my brain? Who knows, but whatever it is, I'll take it! I do feel better and the brain fog seems to be lifting a bit. I have done more in the last couple of days than I had in several months, and that leads me to believe that I am now on the upswing again. ARGHHH...that hole is so dark and deep, that when I am in it, it seems like I'll never get out!

Well, need to go and finish my vacuuming....

TTFN!

Fantastic news Stef, I am so happy your fog has lifted and your energy is back. I agree that terrible fatigue is so awful. Brilliant now you can get on with things again. I used to love Rawhide, i grew up watching cowboy programmes, they were everywhere. Thanks for the memory jolt. xxxxxxxxx

I love your creativity! Seems like VBS is really far away, but to make up what you're thinking of, I guess you need a pretty good amount of lead time. SO very glad you're feeling a bit more in the groove....SHE'S BACK!!!! Never had a doubt!

Sandy, I can be creative when the mood strikes...lol I am not even sure when VBS is, but it will be here before I know it. Everything is sorted now, so I am ready to go. As for being back? We shall see, but I sure feel a lot better, both physically and mentally, than I have in months!! :)
