Remembered the egg for my mim today...carbs were sky-high yesterday from my oatmeal, the new recipe I tried last night was delish, but skyhigh in calories...will I ever learn to do the recipe in here BEFORE I make it, but, oh-boy-was-it-tasty-& probably one of those will taste better as a left over things. Why is it I LOVE Italian stuff so much...well, cause it tastes!

I found these seasoning packets by McCormick Gourmet, Creamy Parmesan & Sun-dried Tomato Chicken Penne flavor, followed the recipe on the back, but added lots more chicken & fresh mushrooms & sub the pasta with dreamfields. Super yummy, but next time need to plan the rest of my day around it. (Wiping drool...)

Puppy is GROWING...OMG! I should have measured/weighed her the day I got her, but I never did. I will attempt to do that tonight, after her walk.

Excercise this morning for puppy & doggie-girl, walk/trot around the block...I am training her to run with us. Brought her home, kennel for her, back on the road for 2 mile quickie with doggie-girl.

Food for the day is planned & logged.

Still struggling with the notion that there are just going to be things I can not have to eat & if I can truly live with that. Today I think I can, I hope tomorrow I will be more comfortable with feeling sorry for myself...I CHOOSE how my body will look by what I eat & how I excercise & that has everything to do with how I FEEL about myself. Even low carb goodies...choices must be made to keep my calories where they belong.

I should haul out some of my old "fat" pants & take a good look at them...I don't ever want to wear them again. I don't want to feel that way, look that way, act that way.

I choose, I decide.

As you know, I've been struggling too. I think there is something about human nature that we want what we cannot have. The answer might be part of accepting ourselves and our limitations. Maybe if we focus on what we can have instead of what we cannot (and what we can become instead of what will never be).

as a new member here, I am so impressed by your planning and organisation of meals. Still grappling with that, still flying by the seat of my pants day to day, trying to keep carbs down as much a possible, as I work 3 days a week, I need to plan much more than I do, but I will be nice to myself, I have lost 10lbs since mid Jan., I have joined this site and am determined to keep at it.

GG, I'm certainly far from perfect on this same issue, but occasionally it helps to think of the "wanted" food as something I'm allergic least for 1 day - LOL! The Italian food sounds're lucky that Dreamfields works for you....I'm too scared to try it! 140's or bust!

Buffy...Excellent words of wisdom! I was thinking this morning along a similar line. Human nature would seem normal to naturally gain weight, some people are just better at regulating than others.

Bren, puppy loves to be in my lap, I am totally guilty of snuggling with her while I am sitting on the couch, or scoop her up to my lap while sitting in a hard to get them out of that when they get too big...I think they grow so quick they don't realize they are too big for a lap dog.

Bellatessa...well, first off Welcome to FatSecret & thanks for stopping by! This is a great place to be, lots of tools to use, lots of support if you want it. We all started out here at one time as newbies!

Sandy, I have used that "I am allergic to that" thinking on myself many a time, LOL, that is soooo funny you mention that. I really don't know what to say about the Dreamfields other than it does NOT seem to trigger carb cravings for me, HUGE sigh of relief. It does open the menu planning WAY up to include more variety. All that being said...the stuff has a ton of calories per serving...190! A serving isn't that big either, not really, I cooked a whole box of spaghetti noodles, weighed them all & then portioned out 1/6 & was totally shocked at the tiny pile it made all lonely like on the plate. Well, portion control has always been one of my many issues. Just saying IMHO anyway!
