Sick yesterday. I woke up feeling great so I decided to curl my hair. When I put both arms over my head about 10 sec later my arms went cold, weak and almost numb. Then instantly I was light headed and nauseated. The rest of the day I couldn't even drink water w/o it coming right back up. I was at work for about 2 hrs before my boss told me to go home. Peppermint really helped my stomach so I'll have to remember that in the future. I came home, fell asleep and 2 hrs later woke up with a splitting headache. I had chills, even worse nausea than before. I tried to eat toast but that didn't help so my dog Sugar helped me by eating the other half of it. She stayed with me the whole day. Even when I passed out on the floor she sleep at the door way and my cat Cocoa cuddled around my belly. I love my darn animals. I've had migraines before but I usually have some sign that one is coming on and as long as I take something in time I can get on with the day but this time there was no warning. Usually when I have a bad headache I can sleep, eat just a bit then sleep again and it's over. Yesterday was a different story all I wanted to do was sleep I was so tired but the pain was so bad I could not sleep it off. Everything hurt from my head, neck, shoulders, even my ears like I had an earache. When my husband came home we went to the ER and they gave me fluids, meds to stop the nausea and a plus was that the medicine knocked me out! Finally I was able to rest it felt so nice. The headache never subsided but oh to be able to sleep was wonderful. They did all sorts of tests and even a cat scan but chalked it up to just a bad headache. They never gave an explanation for what happened in the morning to my arms. I guess something like that is normal? It was definitely not the worst pain which they kept asking me. I've dealt with full blown migraines and those are terrible. The worst part was just the nausea and dry heaving and unable to sleep. I definitely got an ab workout :( I called in today for work since we didn't get home until 2am. I'm glad to stumble on this site, now I can keep a log of the things I do and eat maybe one day be able to figure out what causes my headaches.
