Looking at the photos of other folks and trying to get up the nerve to post a Before & After picture to incentivize myself. I didn't take a before picture until I had already lost 20 pounds but I have one from 2010 at 200 lbs that I took in the bathroom of my hotel in Vegas. I was too hesitant to have my husband take one because it just seemed too weird.

Nor do I have one from when I dipped below 160, but I have one at about 163 when we went to Half Moon Bay for our anniversary. They are kinda the same position, enough to see the belly shrinkage anyway. My current weight is about half way between them and I really liked the lighter me and want to get back there.

I do feel inspired by seeing other people's B&As. I do have measurements from 220 down (and back up to 180, sigh). OTOH, do I really want a picture of me in a bathing suit like that on the internet. Not really. I think creating the side-by-side picture (which I did) and maybe posting it on the fridge door works better for me.

I did post the 163 picture to a FS group but I can't figure out which one. It is on

I haven't done the bathing suit pics either or the ones in front of the mirror, I just put up 2 I had, the first I'd already lost 10 lbs before it was taken. It does give you a boost I think, helps to imagine what the end result will be and maybe push you even a bit more to go an extra mile especially if your staring at yourself from the fridge when your hand is on the handle of it, might not open it quite so often. Your the important one right now, if having the pics on your fridge works than that's what you need to do. Just worry about you for now, inspiring others will come, one day at a time, one lb at a time.

Thanks, Sunkeeper. I have thought about making that picture any number of times. At least now I've actually done it. And it does inspire me to get back down toward my goal. So yay.
