BuffyBear's Journal, 24 February 2013

What a fantastic group you guys are! This is referring to all the encouragement you offered on my Journal yesterday. Thanks to my Buddies and to complete strangers who are "paying it forward". Although, there are no real "strangers" on FS.

As promised, I recorded my weight so I'll have a nice record of the damage done. It is now 27 pounds to goal - OUCH.

But, it is a great day to start over!

Ruth - On days like today I have such a hard time believing anything could push me over the edge. Thanks again for keeping it real.

I caught up on your journal. You've certainly been through a lot, doing a good deed with the puppy (and the accompanying sadness/relief when it left). I'm sure that there's a lot of stress (and probably lack of sleep) that are caused by the possibility of having your SD and 3 children come to your house. That's a lot to be dealing with. I've had a "return to nester" since December and we are both having some difficulty adjusting, but my situation hardly compares with your. Just keep taking it one day at a time. Something good (or - at least - not as bad as feared) often happens when you least expect it. You know that you're strong and will get through/past this. I hope it's a beautiful day where you are. Finally a blue sky day in Maryland.

SW21204 - Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. I've gotten a reprieve on the stepdaughter since she hasn't gotten her income tax refund back yet. But I did have a bad reaction to a tetanus shot I got Wednesday and I am finally getting over that. Next time I think I'll just say "no thank you" to the shot and take my chances!

Bren - As always you make such a good cheerleader. One day at a time is all we can do and so far this day is going very, very well. Hope your weather is as nice as mine.

Buffy, glad that you recorded and as you say, it's great day to start over...I understand that ouch, but it could be so much worse. Now we will truly get going, since February is over and done with and spring is right around the corner, as is daylight savings time! YAY!!! Hope your weekend was fantastic!

Hi Buffy, I agree, today is a great day to start fresh, one pound at a time, no matter how many times. Friday is March 1st, I know, it's nuts, but that's the way it is.
