Is there hope? I've been day-dreaming through my eating & exercise ..... so I decided to change a few things up. I purchased a new gadget (I like gadgets) one that some of you have "a fitbit one". I know that I needed to do something to break my current pattern. So far, so good .... I have this urge to prove to my wife that I wasn't "wasting money" on another senseless gizmo. I'm curious to see what it will tell me about my sleeping. I have been so tired lately. I've been working long days, but I'm not sure if that's the entire answer. I have also discovered that I haven't been drinking as much water as I could. I don't mind water ..... but it's easy not to drink it, especially in the cooler time of the year.

It was a huge surprise after Lenten Services on Wednesday night I found my car covered with snowy-looking hail. This is the first time in 14 years that anything like "snow" has fallen where I live. It was fun. I see snow in the mountains near us once in a while (normally up high) but this latest baby storm was a cool surprise.

I've checked out the fitbits on line and they have piqued my interest but I'm not quite ready to take the plunge and buy one just yet - hearing your review will be very interesting! Water is important but it doesn't have to come in its out-of-the-tap form to count. Tea or coffee count toward your intake, too, even though they have some diuretic effects. One thing I love to drink in the cooler months, especially if I have a cold, is hot honey and lemon. You just mix lemon juice (preferably fresh) with hot water and sweeten with honey to taste (you can use another sweetener if you prefer, real or artificial, but I like the taste of the honey with the lemon). It's odd how weather goes in cycles and that it took 14 years to see snow in your area. People blame a lot of the crazy weather they see lately on global warming but they forget that a lot of this stuff has happened historically for centuries. Good luck with your fitbit!

You got a Fitbit One - Woohooo! I really enjoy having mine, though I'm still having issues with it not counting my stairs. Oh well, I know why its not counting it, and I also know what I'm doing with the stairs, so its not much of an issue. I'll be interested to hear (read..) your take on it. Have a great Sunday!

Too cool. I enjoyed hearing the news of our neighbors getting the suprise! I hope you use your new tool well, I don't know much about it though. I love that picture!
