preview7's Journal, 23 February 2013

Today is Saturday, Feb 23, 2013. I started taking the new medication for diabetics that you shoot in the belley, this is day 4. I went to coffee with Laura and could not finish my half of the muffin and drank low fat latte with whip cream. I am just getting over an allergy/cold/infection. Tomorrow is day 5, my last day of antibiotics. My blood pressure was 130/80 at the docter's yesterday, lowest ever now that I am on 100 mg losartan. I am also on Metformin 2,000 mg. The goal is to lessen both meds. I will keep up with having a trainer and walking min 30 minutes per day and playing squash 1 to 2 times a week.
I am going to be flying to Kentucky for a month and working 12 hour shifts. I will still inject my med and have ordered the shakeology which is palatable and helps curb my appetite.
I have managed my finances, next is my stuff, a place for everthing and everthing in place.
I want to brush up on inpatient work before I leave and when I get to the hotel, start on the treadmill etc.

198.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 63.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

I have been there...shooting injections into the belly four times a day...It is very important to remember, that you can easily gain weight while on this treatment...so sticking to a diet and exercise program will help you maintain and even lessen your weight. Have you spoken to a nutritionist yet?...this diet plan is taken directly from a nutritionists plan for me. So you may want to double check with them...especially to determine your total daily calories...
