Although my "history" doesn't show it, I weighed in at 228 on the first of January. This morning I hit 204.0, half of my desired goal of 180. I figure that at this rate I will hit my goal some where toward the middle of April. I'm also diatetic and when I started this diet, my blood sugar was at 198 in the morning, shortly after getting out of bed in the morning. This morning it was 99 after getting up and I haven't had any medication (metformin) for two days. I'm slowly weaning myself off the meds and take only one 500 mg metformin every third day. Between now and the middle of March I plan on being totally off the meds. I was able to do this several years ago, but then let myself go. NEVER again! I already feel better and really hate taking medication when I don't have to. I might also add that my resting heart rate is somewhere between 42 and 45 beats a minute. Runs in the family. But with the extra weight I WAS carrying, my heart would rest at only 55 or above. Things are slowly getting back to the way they were designed ....
