Hi Buffy- if you can I would get DH to do the drop off- I know I had to surrender a puppy once and I cried from the time I walked in the door of the shelter til I got back home- very emotional experience. Best avoided if possible. Well done on the no snacking--I could only hope to do that these days ;) 

Thank goodness that puppy was found by you and you have done a great deed by finding him a good place for his adoption process. I'm sorry it is going to be painful for you. 

Sniff, sniff, I am crying with you already. So hard to do, but as long as you truly believe it is for the best then all is well. Maybe, now...this is just a suggestion, but perhaps you would consider telling the shelter that if puppy doesn't have a forever home before they do anything drastic, to let you know? 

PS...I forgot to say GREAT JOB on the no snacking!

I feel for you handing off your puppy. But if you have to do it, rather than your DH, even if you cry it just shows the rescue group how much you've cared for the poor little fella. You did him a HUGE favor going over to those folks and getting him out of the cold. 

Hey Buffy..I cried all over the place when I had to take Oreo to the vets..but he has a good home now..so don't feel bad if your the one who has to take him..and you do cry..it shows how sweet and loving person you are...Besides this is a rescue place just for this type dog...And great job for not snacking...under the stress you have been through..you did better than I would...Now smile for me...Thats it.. You have a lovely smile my friend....Hugs...:O)

Aww, so glad he got accepted by the rescue - hope he can find a lovely home!! I would have been a basketcase cry-baby too if I had to drop him off..
