Went to the Rain Room yesterday - it's an art exhibition in the London Barbican centre - basically a room where it is "raining" and as you walk the rain stops....in theory. Ok so me and my friend waited in the queue for four hours for our five minutes of walking and stopping the rain....only to get thoroughly drenched...my friend more than me! She was really quite angry, but I just couldn't help but find the funny side of it and broke out in hysterical laughter...which calmed her down and she laughed too (while we were trying to dry our hair with paper hand towels in the loo!!). The curious part about it is no one seemed to get drenched the way we did....unbelievable and the twist of it was it was beautiful sunshine outside during our four hour wait....such is life!!! lol I hope this is not an omen for our Glastonbury trip in June as it is the same friend I am going with there....I think I better buy some wellies and flippers for the festival!!!
Back to work today....normal shit....different day.....
Catch up with everyone later :)

Sounds like a ... different experience :D But honestly, you can say that you had a very unique viewing of a unique exhibition! Sounds like good fun. I love weird stuff, so I would've definately broken down with laughing cramps too :) And may I say, you sound like you thoroughly (is that a real word???) enjoy life. Its inspirational beyond anything. Big hugs from the European Mainland

I'm with Skinny - I get rained on enough without doing it on purpose. Am guessing Wellies and Flippers are raincoats and boots? Or are they diving wetsuits and swim flippers?

Glad you saw the humor in it, my friend! When life gives you lemons...

ha ha - the whole point of the exhibition is you are not supposed to get wet...so was not by choice that we did, for some reason it just didn't work that well with us! Wellies are wellington boots and flippers are the swimming flippers people use when they scuba dive :)

Laughter is an amazing defuser for anger. Finding the humour in any situation is a talent all to itself! Sounds like fun to me. Have a good day!
