Breakfast of champions: a HUGE bowl of homemade vegetable soup with egg-drop to add some protein. Has to last me for a while because the day is super busy and I do not know when I will next get to eat. Busy is good though, because I don't think about food. More and more these days, I like breakfast to be my biggest meal. Trick is you have to make the time and this can be hard some days. Also I prefer morning exercise before I eat so this causes additional scheduling issues.


good hearty protein breakfasts always work for me and keep me feeling full for much longer, and I always seem to have a better day when I start that way. You are doing great with a good balance of good food and good exercise. How's the weather in your world today- sending any stormy weather this way?

It is shaping up to be a serious winter after a super mild one last year when no shoveling was required. Right now we have heavy rains which is melting some of the big ice piles left behind by the plows. In the City of Boston, may of the parking places are blocked by huge piles of ice. Another snow storm is predicted later in the week. Our pattern has been big snow with high winds followed by bitter cold and then rain. I took my daughter to the movies right after a late arrival from work so dinner was popcorn (a grain exception for me) and water. Now too late to cook so a rather light day on the calories. Planning another big protein-packed breakfast for tomorrow and hitting the gym. Working very late tomorrow.

Another storm day predicted here on "Fantasy Island" schools are cancelled in anticipation of snow/rain/freezing rain. Work is as usual, but could be closed early if the weather arrives. Hope your day goes well and you don't have to work too late. What movie did you see? I recently watched Silver Linings Playbook and really enjoyed it. We'll see if it does as well as predicted at the Oscars.
