The increase around your stomach may just be bloat. You have lost 3 pounds in 8 days which is great. The scale doesn't always move as much as we would like, but many things factor in to weight loss besides food intake. Our bodies are made up of 60% water so many things affect the scale (exercise, stress, medications, sodium, hormones, etc.). You have to be in this for the long haul. Patience and persistence!
