Happy Presidents Day! Had another nice day with my Mom, & could tell how much she enjoyed visiting her male friend. As I mentioned yesterday, now that neither of them can drive, she doesn't get to see him much. But, I'm thinking it'd be a great gift to her to hire someone to take her to see him every other weekend. So, I'll work on that! Today we have lunch with my aunt. Mom is holding her own & I don't see any noticeable progression with her Alzheimer's :). That's a nice surprise & huge relief!
I'm feeling good, sleeping better & enjoying my time here. And, today marks 6 weeks off sugar. My health coach believes the 6 week mark is the key for those of us with sugar issues, & has suggested that I could try to mindfully eat it again occasionally in small amounts. But, I'm not sure ithat I want to as the thought scares me a bit. While I can't see me banning sugar forever, I'm also not missing it that much either. This blows my mind after feeling so out of control over it on & off throughout my entire life & recently during the holidays. Anyway, it's something else for me to think about, pray about, journal & chat about (maybe over a nice cup of tea?!?).
So, I'll start my day again praying for serenity, and I'll pray, breathe, log, post & express for this one day, meal, moment, bite & emotion at a time! Hope my FS friends are enjoying a nice long weekend! Xoxox
