Soulnoid's Journal, 17 February 2013

Day 390- Been in interesting week in my mind. I have been thinking about a lot and how to relate it to my world. Need to figure out a way to get it out.....

I started reading the Rich Roll book and so far, it is almost like he wrote my biography, LOL. But I know he went much further than I have yet.

One of the questions that I am rolling around is going vegetarian or not? Or just cut out red meat? I know I feel differently when I eat red meat, but I will tell you I feel better when I eat grass fed beef. So not sure where to go with this?

I also started putting my MS journey down on paper as my cousin just found out her daughter has epilepsy and a lot of the challenges she is going to have I have faced with my form of MS.

I just wanted to get a quick journal in here to get me going again.

I think you are the only one who knows what works best for your body. I personally love chicken to much to give it all up but that is me. :)

Very interesting. From a vegetarian who eats salmon, animal protein is the most complete protein. You might gradually go to lean chicken, turkey and fish to start. The China Study is a great book. If you do go vegetarian, I know some of the best vegetarian chefs out there. Hit me up.

I just looked up who Rich Roll was. Sounds inspiring. I love books like that. They can help you tune in. You will miss a lot of important nutrients if you don't eat fish or meat. I only eat extra lean beef and only filet mignon. I like what Helewis said, I ditto that. I could easily go (and have) gone vegan but I don't feel as well. I think it is up to your body. Google athletes vegeterian. They are out there:-)

I think just cutting back on certain meats will help you figure out how your body works best.. It's great that you are going to be able to help out your cousin's daughter by sharing your challenges/experiences.

We went veggie for a few months and it really helped us get going on our dietary journey. However, we are also big meat lovers, and it's tough to "have it all." Perhaps just a trial to see how your body responds, and how you like going veggie. It's not as tough as you'd think, but it certainly is not easy either. Good luck!
