And so, like many others, I contracted a novovirus infection this week. 3 days later It left me very weak and with a major weight loss of close to 1.7 Kg. This was most likely caused by dehydration and not eating enough.

I managed to get back to normal and increased my protein intake because I was concerned that this weight loss was also due to loss of muscles, but no it didn't - I measured myself today with a tape and the circumference of my biceps, forearms, tights and chest is the same. The waist and neck are a bit narrower tough.

Bottom line - Novovirus is an effective but unpleasant way to lose weight quickly and curb your appetite.
