Hope4Health's Journal, 13 February 2013

There is nothing more frustrating then spending the entire day working on a project and then having it fail in the evening because the iTunes bookstore decides there is some mysterious "resource missing from your package." AAAAAAARRRRGH!

I've started doing this every now-and-then semi-fasting gig, and I think it may be the ticket for me. Because I feel really committed to sticking to the fast days, and on the "feed" days I actually don't feel the urge to eat everything in sight. It's as if being hungry on the fast day inoculates me against being hungry ALL the time. On the whole, I average much lower calories than trying (and failing) strict Atkins alone. Although I still think Atkins is a good approach, I just think I may work better with the intermittent fasting approach, with no food being verboten, although trying for low-carb.

Can we talk "panniculus"? I am so grossed out by mine. I feel bombarded by images of beautiful women with flat stomachs...I see that with clothes on, I'm not that awful compared with other women my age, but geesh! with clothes off, I make myself ill. It's probably too late for me to look like Sandra Bullock. I should just be happy that I have a family and still have a job.

LOL! I feel your pain! I have to say that I look MUCH better with my clothes on than off. But, there's really no chance of anyone seeing me naked, other than myself, so I can learn to deal with it lol. Good luck with your new approach!

I'd still rather have a flabby panniculus than a a full one. Maybe we'll win the lottery and can afford to have plastic surgery!

Hang in there girl...we all have things we hate about our bodies..I had to stop eating breadfast as I would want to eat all day long other wise..Have a great day...:O)...Sorry about the iTunes...

Yes, husband is hoping for the lottery win, Buffy. Bren, that's interesting about breakfast. I'm beginning to think that this edict that you have to eat three meals a day is as foolish as the eat high-carb, low-fat advice.

The Perfect Health Diet folks talked about "fasting" by restricting the times you eat to daylight hours and some window like 6 hours (it has been awhile since I read the book). But yeah, there are a lot of alternatives to "three squares". Do what works for your body.
