Well, I was 242.5 lbs. this morning - a gain of 4 lbs. since Friday. Since I know I didn't eat 14,000 calories above my RDI over 4 days, I decided not to eat anything for two days, and see how I do for the weigh-in Friday morning. If I don't make it, nobody can say I didn't try. I'll just pay my $20 and do better next time. I did end up peeling a grapefruit and eating it before I went down and did a workout on the treadmill. So, I stuck with my plan today; I'll just have to see how I do tomorrow. A little orange juice in the morning, and at night to take my vitamins (as well as a plain grapefruit), and I will have given myself as much chance of recovering from my two day trip, as I'm likely to get. Fasting is no big deal for me; it's easier than cutting back as a rule.

Bought DW a pink and white diamond heart necklace for Valentines Day and a nice card. I gave it to her when I got home tonight. I could have elected to leave it on the table when I leave for work in the morning, but then I couldn't really tell if she liked it or not. She thought it was darling - or something like that. In any case, I'm still batting 1000 on not missing any important occasions. We'll have to go to dinner on Friday instead of tomorrow night though, because I'm going for the weigh-in Friday morning.

2 days of fasting, ahhhh! I'm sure it's mostly water weight, you can probably still eat some reasonable proteins and healthy snacks and drop the 4lbs! I know I still eat afte rmy weekend splurges and lose 2-6 pounds in those first two days. Good luck! And nice job on the necklace!

238.0 lbs. this morning! Dropped 4.5 pounds. Dianne, I hear you on the eating, but I'm still not taking any chances on going backward. I'll continue my fast today, get through my weigh-in tomorrow, and we'll go out and have a nice dinner tomorrow night. I know I could probably eat something and still meet my 239.0 goal tomorrow, but why take a chance? It doesn't hurt to confuse your body every now and then. As far as the jewelry goes, as long as I keep her looking like a gypsy, she's golden.
