I feel a lot better, and I'm definitely back on track. But I'm not ready to get on the scale. I'm afraid that I'll feel disappointed and I might start beating myself up over it. I'll wait a few days or maybe I'll wait until Monday. No pitfalls this weekend! That will give me all the confidence int he world.

I would be consistent about what day you weigh in, no matter what. It will help you be mindful and give you the strength to stay on track. How is your planning for this weekend coming along. I think you mentioned you were going over to some friends, but you should still plan on something Paleo friendly for you to bring, so you aren't tempted with what they may have that's off limits. Just want you to have a good weekend and hold you head up high on Monday :)

Hi Nancy, yes, I agree with you. You are right. I am going to weigh myself every Friday for now. I learned a really important lesson this week. Kidding myself into thinking that 'just a little bit is okay' is a big mistake. It causes a 180 degree turn in the wrong direction. It's amazing how sensitive I am. No wonder why no matter how healthy I eat, I'm not thin. I don't eat fast food, don't eat out very much, and cook whole food all the time. It's the little bit of bad stuff here and there that turns my metabolism into a circus. Yesterday I had to skip dinner because my husbands uncle had a heart attack and we ran to the hospital. I wasn't even hungry and spent a lot of energy worrying. but I still didn't lose any weight this week. I would have thought that after being so good since Tuesday, and after yesterday, I would have lost something. I bet I actually gained and then re-lost it. I will never let this happen again. I REALLY learned my lesson! I will bring a salad to our friends. My friend is going to make fish and chicken so I know I can have that. By now I really do think I have enough will power to reject desserts and other things that I can't eat. And my huusband sees how serious I am so he will support me now. You know how it is, a great husband loves you no matter what size you are. But an even better one will help you help yourself when you really try :) How is your diet going? I have been doing Jillian michaels and I'm getting a little bored. It's very challenging but I just feel like I want to try something different. I'm going to download a belly dance workout video from amazon and I'll try that today. It sounds like fun to me! Have a great weekend and talk to you soon! Rivkah

Hi Rivkah, I know you are bound and determined and it's a journey. Sometimes we come across a little bit of a rocky road, but as long as we are heading in the right direction, we will get to our destination. I think once you get on the plan 100%, your blood sugar will stablize (it takes about 2 weeks) and you will find you won't even be tempted by the things you once used to crave. I am doing fine, feel great, doing my workouts, and can't wait for what the future holds. I am ready to get some new jeans in a smaller size which is a nice reward. Hope you have a fabulous weekend, I know you will do great, and good for you for pre-planning!
