'I've been distracted" .... My eating has been pretty average. I continue to attempt to squeeze too much stuff into every day, leaving not enough "down time" to reflect upon the path that I've just walked. Last week I was convinced that it made sense to simplify my/our life by selling our home and renting. I was shocked by what on found on the rental market. Many of the rental properties appear to have minimal care with multi-colored appliances in the same home i.e. white stoves, black refrigerators, stain steel dishwashers, etc. I have to admit that I've become a little spoiled. I just discovered that I really "do care" that appliances match. Bummer, I so want to be invested in my interior world, and less in my exterior reality .... but it's a struggle. It's hard to see one's reality .... especially when you wish you were not the person you are.

Downsizing has got to be stressful, even if it's something you want as opposed to something you HAVE to do. Perhaps you should consider a condo where you own but don't have the upkeep of a home and are freer to come and go as you please. That way you can control the matching appliances, still be retaining equity instead of throwing money away in rent, and being in control of more options than you would in a rental. I don't see the reality of the home choices so much as a reflection on your reality - you just haven't explored all the options yet. Keep an open mind. The things you don't want to "be" are superficial. Remember that your spirit, your soul - those are the things that matter :)

I too am always over extended with little downtime. My goals in 2013 include me learning to say NO when I find myself overbooked. It's mid February and I've made no progress on that goal. Its now 12:15 am and I am a taking time for myself after a long day at the office and an evening with the grand kids catching up on FS. So I understand that we'll. not sure why you don't like the person you are, but you seem like a fine person to me. Downsizing is a BIG decision I would love a condo, but alas it may be cheer and better in the long run to stay in our house, I was hoping for a change of venue! Hope Wednesday is good for you!

Glen I understand your mixed emotions. This is why I want to start researching and getting the "vision" in my head long before we actually take steps towards selling our house and moving. I'm definitely a planner and I need to see and know how it's going to work. Apartment, condo, small house, etc. AND because I also tend to pack as much as I possibly can into a day, I NEED to start 5 years in advance! LOL! Lauren mentioned that one of her goals for 2013 is learning to say NO when she's overbooked.......I haven't even been able to make my goals yet because I'm too overbooked!!! I have a business coach who will be in my office on Thursday and will want to SEE those goals! :(

Oh you'll figure it out! Perhaps a rental where you purchase your own appliances? I need to thank you for your support and thoughtful comments for me. I look forward to hearing from you and feel warmed in my heart with your kindness.
