ZippyDani reminded me that today was Mardi Gras so tomorrow is the start of Lent. I have made an agreement in the "give it up" challenge to abstain from limited and negative thinking.....but I have an additional Lenten sacrifice. I am posting it in my journal so that I will make a public commitment. My Lenten offering will be to write one letter each day to someone who has impacted my life through their walk with Jesus. I am sure in my 66 years of living that I have at least 40 people who have made a difference....I seemed to have been blessed with many wonderful people along my journey.

Otherwise things are going great today....my corporate boss decided via email that I needed to plan two growers' meeting/luncheons in two weeks for all our area growers. Great idea if I lived in a big city with venues and caterers...in my little one stoplight town this is not quite as easy. So what is life without a little stress to keep the metabolism hitting on all cylinders and to cause one to reconsider why she just didn't stay retired.

Hope everyone enjoys Mardi Gras...while it means "fat Tuesday", let's not concentrate on the fat unless it is part of our RDI....
