Two words describe me today: HUNG OVER. Yep, I succumbed to the last of my Skinny Girl Cosmo bottle in the fridge (trying to get rid of it and make room-I know, a likely excuse). Then hubby popped the top of some wine and I had a glass and a half of that. I was a little giggly with the Cosmos, but then the wine put me over the top. I wasn't slobbering drunk, just loosey goosey and wobbly. Managed to shower and then get to bed, ok, pass out is more like it, but I was clean, teeth brushed and all. The kitties wound up sleeping between us, which I love. The Kraken woke up in the middle of the night sometime (2ish?) with a nightmare, though she said it wasn't a nightmare. LOL The girl's crazy. Kisses, 'blowing the bad dream out her nose' (something I used to get the nightmares out with her sister), turned on her glowy pillow (best Christmas gift EVER), and she was probably asleep before I even touched her door to exit. Kept water next to my bed and drank a few times during the night, but still woke up a tad bit dehydrated. I'll be fine before EOD.
I did something today that in MY wildest dreams I never truly expected: I SKIPPED STARBUCKS. This is generally my STAPLE. I get up, get the girls ready (ok, the teen gets herself ready), then we all hop in the car, I drop teen, then the Kraken, then hit the Bux for my am skinny mocha (180 cal only vs 450 whole milk and whipped cream-venti size). Well, today, I started my day with a protein shake (prepackaged), then had an egg fried into the center of a piece of bread, a few baby carrots, and some mandarin orange green tea with splenda. I have a Starbucks canned drink in the fridge which I will probably have later today, the 2pm pick me up? It has added vitamins and such, though, so it's a better choice than the skinny mocha. I have plans with hubby to hit the gym again today. We're sore from using a new rowing-simulation machine, but it's a good sore, our shoulders and pecs (booben as the Kraken calls them). Because I do cardio on the elliptical, I like to stick to upper body on the weights machines, but I did some legs yesterday, too. Slightly sore, but nothing uncomfortable or painful. Being dehydrated is actually a little more uncomfortable to me than exercise pain! LOL I just seem to have a higher pain threshhold than others. I really do treasure that fact, but I also have to remember to be a little sensitive to others who have little tolerance for pain of any kind. Even when I got my tat, it didn't hurt, just IMHO, felt like having dental work done. Which I've had plenty of, and never had much pain or side effects.
So, this really is not the best way to start a Monday, but my food choices have been good, so I can't whine too much. I'm off to get another cup of tea to warm me up! Happier Monday to all!
Gratitude: only a slight hang over-could be MUCH worse! my family Dogga riding with me to drop off the girls (always fun to have a buddy) Good friends, lovey family, good health!

He he he! No kidding!! I never "lost consciousness" until I actually went to bed, and by then I'd had a little water. I felt the worst just as I got up to get my day started, and by mid/late morning I was good to go. Sleepy, but feeling fine.
