The sad thing about a great group growing is that you get a couple of people in there that sometimes lose sight of what the group is there for and rock the boat. Then it makes some of the people that have supplied invaluable information and given great support want to leave. I hope that does not happen as those are the people that have helped someone like me in ways that they do not realize.

If we cannot be honest in a forum then how will we ever be successful? I mean HONESTLY my failures at getting this weight off and KEEPING it off have been due to my own dishonesty to myself. Also maybe to people not wanting to hurt my feelings and therefore not telling me the cold hard truth. It has been because I did not want to see the cold hard truth.

The truth is people will get their feelings hurt and it happens everyday, but if it is because of the truth and NOT because SOMEONE was being mean-spirited then in the end it will all fall into place. I am an adult and I do not need someone trying to defend me. Furthermore, I NEED to hear the truth. Even when it is NOT what I may want to hear...even when it may hurt my feelings....even when I might have to process it for a couple of days....I need to hear the cold hard truth.

Bah...I hope everyone has a great day.

I agree with all of this. I've always said that the best thing I can do for someone as a friend is to be honest. I am always honest even if it hurts. I work very hard not to be disrespectful or hateful. But yeah ... I'm still thinking about things. Just know that I appreciate you so very much.

I agree too Jamie and I use it as a daily accountability area for myself, I know others just like me are there if I need them plus reporting in and hearing how well others are doing gives me more drive to do better. I'm with punkie, I don't care if people are bored at work or how the game went, I'm just there to learn about low carb living and should the time ever arise I can help someone else out I'd be more than happy to do that too. We are in this, together. We are living a low carb life plus we're better off for it. Maybe just feel bad for those that haven't seen the light yet, they too will realize, some day.

Yes - we can only be honest. If I need entertainment I can get that at home, but I cannot get the feedback I get from the group at home. I cannot get new recipes at home. Other people's successes inspire me and make me want to work hard to catch up with them. Also, I have seen people that did not stray (when I did) and they are at goal and I know that I could have been if I did not fail. I cannot let that happen again and as much as I say I won't you ladies are a key to that success.

I have to agree with all of this! I feel like you ladies that honesty is the best policy. I've felt lately that I cannot honestly contribute to the group without risking someones feelings being hurt therefore I haven't really said anything at all. I post in my journal and leave it at that. I hate seeing the way things are going. I'm sure it'll all level out in the end. Although time does NOT heal all wounds, it does help most.
