Doing ok on the diet, although I wasn't as strict yesterday as I should have been. Thanks for all the positive comments on my late-night workout instead of snacks. I have to say, though, that I am still sore from push ups, which I hadn't done in a while! LOL It's all good, though. I've been riding my bike to work and having lots of salads made from the greens we grow in our garden.

Yesterday was the last day of school for the kids, and my older daughter is now officially finished with kindergarten. She was a little sad last night, even though she is excited to have a fun summer and move on to 1st grade. There is something magic about kindergarten and I think even though she doesn't have the full perspective of time, she does recognize that things are going to be different for her now.

After school she and I rode our bikes to the local pool and swam/played for an hour (along with what seemed like 100 other kids who had the same idea). She is a good swimmer and such a hard worker, I am very inspired by her! Only 6 yrs old and she swam across the length of the pool without stepping down or holding on to me (even though I was, of course, standing right next to her the entire time). She keeps me motivated. On the way home we stopped our bikes to pick some wild mullberries and put them in our bike baskets. Lovely summer days in a small town. :)

Awe! She is a great swimmer! I hope to get Syd into lessons again this year, but am only hesitant as Maddi, the 4 yr old, still has ear tubes in and would be a bit jealous, I'm afraid. I don't think the plugs I have would work well enough for her to swim, too. Anyways, she LOVED it when I had her in a class a couple years ago. Syd has 4 days next week left of kindergarten, too. She's excited, but a bit leary, too. Funny about their time perspectives! However, I think she'd have been happy if she didn't have to go back today or next week! lol The graduation is set for next Tuesday,... I'm a bit anxious for it, myself. I can't believe my babies are growing up. *sigh, sniff* :) Aren't they just amazing?!

I see you have your chart moving down again, and enjoying the wonderful weather with your kids. Gives you a lot to look forward to and be healthy for, doesn't it?! Keep up the good work, what a great way to get in excersie with the kids. Along time from now when your kids are grown, they will remember going swimming with mama much more than ever will what kind of present they were bought. You can't buy those kind of memories.
