Started the Atkins diet Boxing Day and followed it to a tee until yesterday. Have not lost one pound. Totally gutted. Last week I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and so that explains a lot however yesterday after feeling really down on myself I had a carb binge including a curry dinner, crisps, nan bread and biscuits. My weight went up 5 kilos in one night (I realise that is mostly water) but I just feel like giving up. I have tried so hard even with all the horrible symptoms with the hypo (and there are many!).., but still no joy. Just wondering if anyone out there can relate? Maybe we can challenge and encourage each other through these hard times... :)

Hi Willow, hang in there....just yesterday I was gutted with myself! After dieting so well I planned to weigh in 2day but then I derailed and u can imagine the out come on the scale! But know this that once you've got 2day and yourself there's no giving up! Today as much as I regret yesterday I'm turning it into strengths for 2day! I picked myself- smiled at myself- forgave myself and goings strong. I do feel you and though I don't have a thyroid problem but other major problems nothing is keeping me down! I'm armed to the teeth with a lot of zeal and will for today! And even more for other days to come! YES I CAN....AND WILL BE.....
