I joined a Lent Challenge. However, instead of giving something up for Lent I am doing something that is a chore for me during Lent. I know it is traditional to give up (or fast from) something that we do a lot of and find pleasure in. However, I will add daily exercise in (as this has been a major failure for me). The giving up is done as a discipline for learning self control, to identify with Christ's sufferings. What better way to do this than to do something that I HATE doing....which will take discipline and I am sure I will suffer through...blah. If need be I will end my LOOOOOONG soak in the bath that I tend to take on a regular basis in the afternoon. God has been very good to me in giving the me the strength that I need to stay the course this time and to not fall off the course. I have been very lax in this area and since my elliptical broke I have found excuse after excuse. So if it is not icy then I will walk outside. If it is I will do that stupid bike or I will do a video off of the computer or walk the stairs.

Okay it is out there.....if anyone else is interested in a Lent Challenge I can create another or you can join the one that I just joined.

There you go. Good for you. Positive start. I dont do lint but I am out loving Gods country. Almost every day I am out. Have a look at my jouranl and get a laugh for todays entry. I am so thankful for my hubby of 51 yearsand family and six Grandkids. I want to be here till I am 80+90. Providing I will know who I am. WooHoo!

LOL!!! DairyKing if it hurts then I will suffer through it gladly :) Thanks so much Donegirl...been so cold and icy here I am ready for spring.

I love your turnaround on lent. I'm a big exercise nut, & have really come to enjoy & look forward to working out. if you find an exercise routine or sport that you enjoy, you may too! For me, it's exercise classes, tennis or x-country skiing or snowshoeing. Good luck with it, my friend!
