So while the scale says I've still lost weight, my latest measurements disagree. I can't say I'm too suprised, I haven't worked out in almost a week due to my knee. But I did work out last night :-D I went to an Aquafit class and then played in the pool afterwards with my 2 boys. So I'm back on the road to being the size and fitness I need to be at :-D Today I'll be trying a Pilate's class, but I'll be doing it with my brace on to prevent harming the knee again and being forced to do nothing for almost a week.

At one point in the Aquafit class the lady beside me was asking me questions about the moves we were to do, and it felt so surreal to know that not only had I finally gotten most of the moves down, but that now someone that was new to Aquafit was actually looking at me to advise them on how to do it. Truth be told I was thrilled to be able to help someone else as lots of ladies have shown/explained various moves/positions to me since I started going to these classes almost a month ago.

~ One step at a time, I CAN do this!

That is so cool to now be asked for help cause you finally get it!!! That feeling is great! Keep it up... I need to try aquafit.

Hi, I will be attending my first ever class of Aquafit and have no idea what's about. Could enlighten me please?

Hi, sorry just saw your comment Princess Mola, Aquafit is simply working out in the water. Each instructor will teach it slightly differently, but often several of the moves will be the same no matter who's teaching, such as jogging or jumping jacks. Both of those would be really hard on a person's knees outside of the water if they had joint problems, but in the water those exercises are able to be done with less pressure on the joints. But even though the exercises are easier on the joints doesn't mean it's not a "real" work-out, it definitely is :-D It's what is called an Aerobic or Cardiovascular work-out becuase it's designed to burn calories by getting your muscles moving and your heart pumping faster than it's normal rate. Aqua-fit is great for people with heart issues as well because while it does get your heart pumping, the temperature of the pool water helps to prevent you from over-heating or putting too much pressure on your circulatory system. As with any kind of exercise, if you have any health problems, talk with your doctor, but honestly most will agree that Aquafit is a great work-out that's safe for people at many different fitness levels. I would highly recommend it as a fun way to get into better shape :-D
