I went to the gym and sat in my truck for a good 10 mins debating whether to go in the gym or to the KFC across the parking lot. I went in the gym and ran just over a mile and that felt good. Then I was standing infront of the mirrors with my weights and just felt so disgusted with myself and I really wanted to quit and go get food. I guess what kept me going is realising I can change all this. Maybe a month from now I'll be infront of the mirror and notice a change.

Take pictures so you will see it a month from now. It is hard to see the bigger picture when you look at the small pieces everyday.

Bravo! That was a great choice you made! And changes don't happen overnight, you have to stick with it and be consistent. I don't know where the quote originated from, but I've seen it all over Pinterest: "It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends and 12 weeks for the rest of the world. Give it 12 weeks. Don't quit." You are right, you can change the way you look, if you stick with proper diet and exercise you will notice a change! I know you can do it!

Good for you on making the right choice. It will take a while for the appearance change to be evident but didn't you feel slimmer and stronger by following your plan rather than caving in to sabatoge?

You definitely made the right choice! Even when you don't see the changes, they are happening! Each time you go to the gym, each time you make the right choices, the changes are there, hang in there! It will be worth it!

Bluebox is right. Took me losing 25 pounds before most people noticed... I notice it in people quicker though so I don't get the disconnect.
