I have already lost 39 pounds and gone from a size 14 to a size 6 in ladies jeans. Now I need to lose the love handles and belly fat to help with my heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. My goal is to get off all my medicine and be healthy using diet and exercise. After my widow maker heart blockage I started walking at least three times a week and I was having trouble breathing when I walked at first - even on flat walking tracks. Then it got easier on flat tracks. But I could not walk up hills without chest pain and could not breathe. Now, after three years I can walk in the park where there are hills. But I still have belly fat and high blood pressure even though I have lost weight and take medicine. I still have belly fat and inches I can pinch on my waist. This is the most dangerous threat to a heart patient. With my spinal fusions I cannot do situps or lift heavy weights. But I can walk, swim and do some limited exercises to help get rid of my tummy and waist fat and I am doing them on a regular basis now. I have to lie down afterwards many days. But I am doing it religiously and seeing results. Once I lose the weight, maintaining my weight will be easier with just walking. Gaining fat is easy. Getting it off is hard. Keeping it off is a commitment to a way of life so life can be longer and healthier.
137.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
