I am obese and my health at this point is still good except for my knees which are arthritic and that slows down my ability to excercise. I have a long road to go but, obesity has not been my life. I've controlled my weight for most of life with diet and excercise but changes in my life style, hormones, and I let my diet and excercise go and gained twice my body weight. So I am using diet (high protein low carbs of my own design) and excercise (starting slow) with meditation and prayer to reach my goal. Because of lost in my life and extreme unhappiness about my weight I have suffered from downs so I am also working on my frame of mind to stay up and positive. I am recording my weight and food daily.
