I really need to stop weighing myself everyday, this is just too overly exciting.! haha

I was browsing through forums, groups, etc. and im so surprised and shocked to see so many people doing the atkins diet. now, im not cutting down on you guys but ill definitely cut down on the diet!

my mother lost a lot of weight on the atkins diet (about 60 lbs) and got deathly ill in the hospital after her first bun from wendys, she now suffers from very high cholesterol. its so unhealthy.

im focusing on health - taking supplements and vitamins to get the nutrition i need i cant get from food (if we had it all from food, we'd all be severely obese) - i cant believe the change in me. this is so simple, following 3 simple rules.

i owe so much to my boyfriend! he teaches weight loss classes in 10 park districts around the chicagoland area, hes taught me so much.

TOTAL of 14 pounds in 23 days.!

That's interesting. I keep thinking about going back to the Atkins WOE, but I really don't think I can do it for the rest of my life. I know I will eventually want to eat a piece of cake or a snickers bar or that fast-food hamburger complete with bun. I like Atkins mainly because of the number drops - blood sugar level, weight, and cholesterol levels. BUT.. I've also found several testimonies (finely) about how just losing the weight has helped with those areas. There's also all these people who were on atkins before and gained everything back (myself included) - well if you couldn't sustain the WOE the first time around, what makes (me) think I can do it a second go 'round - like I mentioned above. Life happens and if you have someone sick in the hospital, what are you going to eat then (on atkins) - things like that... I realize this is jumbled up some, but I'm glad I caught your journal entry. I think I'll stick to the calorie counting, with ALL food groups & work harder on getting in some excercise. How about that! you helped somebody today! Thanks!
