Doing well. I'm unable to go for walks and exercise due to allergies that started this spring. (During the winter it was arthritis). Anyway, now I plan to join a gym in the next few months definitely. Once the cold weather comes I will have to be indoors to exercise anyway. My appetite is greatly decreased on Atkins - I've added carbs like brown rice and some other vegetables that I didn't eat earlier. I need to eat earlier in the day when I'm not hungry I've read that revs up your calorie burning in your body. I'm lucky that I'm 6'3" tall so I can carry the weight OK. But I want to fit into 34 pants a bit better - I'm getting lots of comments on how good I look. Everyone where I live remembers me as fat or bloated, not thin, like I was the time before I was here - I moved into my building of 200 residents in May of '96, seen lots of people come and go. So it is good to be healthier and even FEEL thinner again - like I'm not carrying around a lot of excess weight. Also, I'm not sleeping as much as I was 60 pounds ago! Take care everyone stay on the site even if you drift off for a few days here and there like me because this place is a big help to get you where you need to go and stay as far as your weight is concerned!

Glenn, why wait? If arthritis kept you down, but now allergies do -- and I understand that can be really severe -- why wait to join the gym? You're doing so much right, JUST IMAGINE how revved up your metabolism would be then, even if you were just on a tread mill or something!!! You carry the weight well, but why would you?? Love ya!

Right now so much is going on in my life and the allergies need to be under control so I have the energy to exercise. The autumn the allergies may be severe. Right now they're so bad I don't have the energy to exercise. Plus I'm not wealthy - yet anyway - and if I renew my nursing license there is $385 I'll have to spend and a gym is $50 fee and $51 a month. The gyms in my town are all higher priced. Take care, Glenn

Oh boy -- now the dollars can definitely be a problem! You just keep plugging the way you are, and you'll get there!

I have bad allergies too this spring. Hang in there. Check out when the gyms have their membership drives, sometimes they will waive the initial fee. You're doing great, Glenn. Keep it up!
