ugh! that scale is not showing me all the effort I've been putting in. I have definitely been eating MUCH better, recording everything... and last night I did a workout that kicked my butt. But the scale moved 1 lb. in the wrong direction! I don't even want to record it!

How are you doing on drinking water? Be patient, the scale WILL MOVE the other direction :)

I am drinking one liter of water a day, basically one of those big tall bottles. Is this good? I hope the scale starts moving soon!

Rule of thumb: drink half your body weight in ounces. 1 gallon is 128oz. This does not include your water consumption during a workout.

That sounds good to me, as soon as I get my mittens on the book, I will see what Dr. Cordain suggest and let you know. I know sometimes when the scale hasn't moved for me, I have lost inches. I think it's good to take your measurements and check weekly or monthly. I had a week and a half recently when the scale didn't move, but I had lost 2 inches on my waist and 1 1/2 inches on my hips so that was encouraging!
