flagchic's Journal, 28 January 2013

It's Monday and my day off, and one of my favorite days of the week! Hubby is at work, and I get to do whatever I want on Mondays. Days like this usually involve sleeping in a bit, long showers, face masks, my own fun work out, cooking/baking, and doing my nails. So here I am, with a coconut oil hair treatment setting in my hair and updating my journal, haha!

Yesterday was such a break through! We decided to do some shopping in Phoenix at a really awesome mall. I could barely believe it when I could stroll into any of the designer stores and fit in their clothes. I wasn't the largest size and I almost cried! At Banana Republic, I bought some size 14 shorts. At Anne Taylor, I fit into size 12 shirts and capris. At Nike, a size medium sweatshirt fit. I was in heaven! A year ago, I wouldn't have been able to shop at any of these places. They didn't carry my size 20 pants then. A change of 6-8 sizes is mind blowing, and I'm remotivated and proud!

I'm making some delicious "Skinny" enchiladas tonight. Here's the recipe, if anybody is interested: http://skinnymom.com/2012/05/11/skinny-sour-cream-enchiladas/. Hopefully they turn out great! Here's to hoping you're having a great Monday.

Good for you, and you've got every right to be proud of yourself. Keep it up and those clothes will be way to big on you soon.

AWESOMENESS!! Keep it up, girl! Shopping for smaller clothes is at the same time frustrating and WONDERFUL! More wonderful, but frustrating when you know you'll be shrinking out of THOSE, too. (I'm a little cheap!) GREAT DAY!!

That's such a great feeling isn't it? I had that problem too, a lot of places didn't even stock my sizes. I feel like I'm still adjusting, my size perception is warped now! I mean.. I keep checking my old sizes at shops just to compare to my new sizes, to remind me how well I've done and it's surreal. Do you do that? Seriously, next time you're clothes shopping just pick up a pair of 20 jeans and a pair of 12s and hold em next to each other :)

Rich! I automatically pull the larger sizes because I still don't believe I'm any smaller. I feel like if I go automatically for the smaller size, I'll jinx myself or something.
