mommy37's Journal, 28 January 2013

I need this more than ever. I went to the doctor finally after 6 years of not seeing and was of course told I was fat. Yeah I know. My knees hurt evert time I take the flight of stairs at work and became lazy, one of 3 elevators. The depression has hit hard and I went to a Weight management doctor. I have my 8 inch plate and trying to watch salt intake and the portion sizes. I write things down, but not accurate on amounts. This may hold me more accountable, I hope.
I have a beautiful 6 going on 18 year old daughter and a husband that I love. I need to do something more!! He hears that I am up to 240, it will not be over, but a great dissappointment!
Weaknesses are bread. No more!!

Great job for taking control of your health. You want to be around a long time for your family and be a role model for your daughter. Make sure you get some protein in your diet in the morning. Protein is the food group that get's the metabolism going the best, helps you lose fat the best, helps you build lean muscle and keep the muscle you have, and keeps you satiated longer than any other food groups. High fiber is also great too. Some greek yogurt, an egg, a cheese stick, etc. Focus on lean proteins, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Watch the processed foods because they contain tons of sodium. You can do this! And drink your water/liquids, to help flush out sodium.
