philanddeb's Journal, 25 January 2013

I'm BACK! For the ATTACK! Gotta get my groove on with my favorite site and my favorite friends! I'm not going to bore you guys with my labor union dispute, but I will say, this has been a prayerful road recently! And Lord knows I have been missing ALL OF YOU!

On the bright side, today, Phil rescued a pitbull from a garage that she'd been abandoned in and left WITHOUT food and water. She's snoring next to me.

I contacted Linda Blair's and Shorty's Rescues (
We're in the West Coast of California) and let them know we're fostering her and looking for new amazing parents because she's that adorable! So placid, so sweet, so soulful! Now this is a biggy for me because I come from the land where pits are feared! All of our fosters have mostly been poodles, St. Bernards, horses, etc. We fostered one pitbull a couple years ago and I feared my house would be eaten by the time we found her a home...but this one...WOW! She's so placid and sweet. She doesn't chew a thing! She just loves a good rub and down she goes at your feet!

So here's my prayer request...find Gracie a good family...and surround Deb with all the right action needed for her job. I'll go into the details in a rant, I promise, but I didn't want to put everyone to sleep!

Looking forward to catching up on all your journals! It's the icing on the cake for me!
Love and God's Blessings to You all!
Thank you for reading my journal. I've missed you terribly!

Hope you can find a good home for Gracie that can appreciate her for that wonderful personality....so many places we've lived have pretty much outlawed ANY pit, so it can be hard to find the right adopter for any pit, even with a great personality. Good luck with that....AND good luck with your job situation.

Welcome back! And thank you so much for fostering a pitbul! We rescued a mastiff that was pretty much unadoptable after some gang tried to raise him as a guard dog. We also adopted a pitbul who is the sweetest and most loving dog I've ever met in my life. Seriously, my corgi is the vicious little monster, pitbul is just a big slobbery love machine.
