For the last 3 days I have done a Fat Fast to try and break the stall I have been on. I am happy to report that in 3 days I lost 5.4 pounds, well worth it for me. I have checked my ketone levels and for the first time since starting Atkins back in November, it shows I am in deep ketosis (Purple) :)
So, today I am going back into induction to see if I can continue in ketosis. I'm trying to be realistic, though. I have reaad that once you come out of a fat fast you typically gain a few of the pounds back due to adding more food, more calories. Even if I gain back 2-3 lbs, it will still be a good loss compared to my last several weeks.

Diet Calendar Entries for 24 January 2013:

I have done the fat fast before. Lost weight, gained a few pounds back but after that, it sort of reset my metabolism and I continued to lose so hopefully you will too. Having any cream cheese for lunch today? lol. Good job!

Ha! No thanks, I hope I'm done with plain cream cheese for a long time. I agree. I did this not with the expectations of just loosing a lot of weight fast, I just want to get through the stall and head into a steady pace of losing. 1-2 lbs a week would be great for me.
