Day 366- Yes, I missed posting on my 1yr. Look back at my last journal entry and you may see why. I admit I am depressed and mad. I do feel a little better today. I am out on the road tonight outside NYC. I don't know if it is the time of year, the weather or the book I am reading that has me so worked up and depressed? Or is it because I can't run? My foot still is not better so I am taking more than a week off. I think I have a stress fracture.

Anyway, so my 1 year stats:

Lost: 59lbs (wanted 60 for the year! But injury stopped me.)
Shirts: went from a XXL to a med in just about everything.
Pants: 36 waist to a 29 waist.
Blood/heart: as of last check-up everything is good but still on meds.
Running: ??????
Goals for the next year: ???? (Not in the correct mood to decide) I want to lose more, but don't know how much?

Dude, 59 is GREAT!!! Congrats on your loss results, weight and sizes-that's phenomenal for a year! Get your foot checked, in case it IS a fracture, and if you get a boot, it might enable you to keep moving, just a little slower. Once you get the all-clear, you'll be back up to your standard in no time. First goal might be to revamp the food choices, if it's BP you want to control. My hub was on Cholesterol AND BP meds and hasn't been on them now for about a year. We cut meat the first 3-4 months entirely, then added back lean meats, trying to avoid red meats. But we loooove the steak, so it's one of those reward and special occasion foods. Add TONS of green veggies, kale and spinach are awesome. We've been blending them to a pulp and drinking them with fruits and juices. I lost about 60 lbs, he lost 55 over about a year period, and we each got totally off our meds. A couple of good inspirational documentaries, if you're into that kinda thing, Food Matters and Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. Yeah, the 2nd sounds scary, but it REALLY inspired us to get up and on the balanced and veg-heavy diet, and exercise. I truly hope that things get better for you soon! I recommend adding some more vitamin C, or take a supplement, to help ease the depression. Good luck, and good health!

How about instead of an amount to lose you pick inches or body fat percentage? Muscle is denser then fat so it would be hard to decide by weight since you have done so well already.

Those stats are awesome!! I've been feeling blah lately and for me I know it's because I already have spring fever. I just want nice weather so I can get my garden going and see the sun shining. I hope things get better for you soon!

Zippy, I have already cleaned up my diet pretty much already and I have seen all those movies/shows. We eat 'real' food and have cut most grain products out. I do love my meat but try to only have red meat once a week, fish and chicken the rest. freak, measurements don't do it for me, it is what I see that counts, I still have gut and little love handles. When I get the full six pack all the time I will be happy, LOL. Mars, I am in the horticultural industry and have been at tradeshows with lush plants all month and when I walk out into this cold/gloomy weather it kills me. I can't wait to play in the yard.
