My first mini-goal of reaching 172 by Feb 1 is only 9 days away - and I'm 174.6. Maybe I can do it - but my mind is beginning to be putting too much importance on it I think. I'm having thoughts like, just skip meals, etc and have to remember this is a lifelong WOE, not a sprint to the one yard line. If I make it, great. If I don't I will hit 172 just doing what I'm doing, eventually!

Diet Calendar Entry for 23 January 2013:

I get really hung up on numbers, as much as I try to undo that type of thinking. The only purpose it serves is making myself miserable, which is generally something I want to avoid. You're right -- 172 will come. Maybe by the 1st, maybe by the 14th. But it will come, and then it will go. <3

What a great attitude! Especially since it is so easy to become discouraged. But, guess what? I just looked at your graph and in the last 9 days you have lost 4 pounds. Just do your best to follow your sensible and healthy plan and you never know what might happen!
