My gosh am I with you. All I've had today is hard boiled eggs and salad and it's still almost all fat on my RDI, 59%.

Fat is good for you. Why would you not want to eat it? Name some essential fatty acids. Now name an essential carbohydrate....?? (There is not such thing as an essential carb).

I'm wondering if that's what's got me gaining bits and bobs here and there and just not loosing anything. Am I just eating to much fat and not enough fiber. It's so hard to get the fiber in.

There are good fats and bad fats. Avocados and peanut butter are good fats. We need a certain amount for our health. When I eat the good fats (within reason and calories) it seems to help with weight loss.

I do my best at high levels of fat. I just try to make sure it is healthy fat as your journal seems to indicate that you do also.

I agree with BuffyBear, Suzi161 and Tinstaafl... fat is a perfectly healthy macronutrient. Just make sure you get it from naturally available sources... which I include butter in this category! Eat as much as feels natural to you.

Yep, this just goes to show how mainstream media and popular nutrition has villainized fat. Fat from highly processed junk is crap. Fat from natural sources are great! When I got down to my leanest I was eating nothing but protein and fat. Booyaw!

A good rule of thumb. Don't get your nutrition advice from the 5 o'clock news or the government. Focus on natural whole foods.
