Sometimes you've just got to brag. Here it goes: I went to a Mexican restaurant yesterday and didn't eat one chip! There, got that out of my system.

Now to be humbled - ate too many carbs, mainly from the stuff I ate after I got home (thanks for pointing that out Jozette). Even though I'm not strictly counting carbs, I do like to stay below 30(net carbs) and I went over 40.

So today I'm thankful that it is Monday - back to the old routine.

Buffy- no chips at a Mexican restaurant- what did you do sew your lips shut-heeeeheee- that is certainly taking control! I don't think I could ever accomplish that! Hope you have another "in control day" and are able to stay within your carb goal. Have a good Monday:)

I will take one chip and scoop a tsp of salsa then add the hottest tobasco on the table and use the chip like a spoon. No I don't double dip. My entree arrives by the time my tastebuds recover - usually after at least 2 large glasses of ice water.

Great job Buffy, you can be so proud of yourself!///What did I point out? The smootie? We all need things that are not necessarily required to survive, I get my unnecessary carbs from other sources, and be it with a glass of wine. As long as we keep an eye on it and don't overdo it constantly we are good to go. And, if we don't watch it and act accordingly we will see the result, not the desired one ;-)

Jozette - Yes. Looking at the carbs of the smoothies made me look at the totals I'd been accumulating. Today is going to be a "smoothie free day". I'll do my "carb loading" on some nice summer squash I picked up yesterday.

Buffy those chips are the hardest things to NOT eat...So proud of you girl..but all in all you did great...stay warm the next couple of days..its to be 20 degrees Tues here...Brrrrrr...may have to get out those hand and feet warmers..you know the ones that get hot??...Have a great day...:O)

What a triumph! The chips are so addictive....we're all like zombies when we hit the Mexican places.....just automatically shovelling them in, hardly being aware of how many we eat. A pat on the back just doesn't seem like enough recognition of how great it is that you had NONE!!! Ver, very impressive!

Alright, Buffy!! You did amazing! Once I start with those chips, I just can't stop. I have a big bag in the pantry (left from Christmas and saved for visitors), but they aren't open. As long as they stay closed, I'll be just fine! lol Have a great week, and good job figuring out those net carbs!
