Interesting couple weeks.

The last weigh in was probably overestimated because it was at the end of a week of no bowel movements - I took my weight again the following Monday and I was at a local minimum of 127 lb. So in light of that, I would say that the past two weeks have been pretty much stable, maybe creeping down every so slightly. But the good news is that I am stable below the 130 lb mark, which is nice to see. It may take a good deal of patience with these last ten pounds, because it will probably not happy quickly. Goal by the end of 2013 is 120 lb at 20-22 % body fat.

An oddity of the past two weeks: I haven't been in ketosis. I maintained ketosis pretty much through the holidays, as described in my last journal post. Within a week of coming back, I was out of it. I want to say that I've been adhering pretty strictly to my diet, but to be perfectly honest, I think enough little bites of carrots/turnips/potato from a stew or the onion I put in my bacon/spinach/onion egg scramblers was just enough to keep me out of it. And it appears that once I am out of ketosis, it takes a solid week of two of eating NOTHING but meat, eggs and greens to get back into it. So I'm very happy with how I've been eating the past two weeks, but it seems like it's not getting back into ketosis. I will have to feel out in the next couple weeks if I am making progress in this state and, if not, have another super hard core week or two to get back into it.

On the other hand, my digestive system has been SO much better in the past two weeks. I have been focusing on REALLY eating a lot of greens, almost every day, and incorporating chia seeds into my daily salad. Plus, I've been drinking a MINIMUM of 2 cups of water every day (I usually suck at that). So I don't know if it's the fiber or the water, but something is going right. I don't know if it has much to do with actual weight loss, but it makes me feel so much better and healthier to be going regularly.

Work outs having been going well. Started a new routine with Alex. Have been running a mile before/after a workout.
129.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 6.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
