Herbie's Journal, 16 September 2007

I'm confident now that I've reached my goal weight. Yay!! I've done well on the diet and the food just seems normal to me now. We went out for dinner a few days ago and got pasta (that's pretty much all they had) with a small salad. After eating the salad I really could only have about 1/4 of my "meal" b/c it seemed too rich.

In a few days I'll reset my goal weight to 130 --but I want to celebrate reaching 135 first. :) I think my next goal will be fitness, rather than weight related, though. I need to get back to working out regularly. Although I've been sick this week I still walk to/from work each day, which adds up to a bit more than 30 minutes. Not a rigorous workout routine, but I think that has been important for keeping my weight loss going this week. A good workout routine will be helpful to maintain my weight and build some tone. Still got the post-baby belly sag... don't know if there's anything to be done about that. :P
135.0 lb Lost so far: 35.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.8 lb a week

Congratulations on reaching your goal! & good luck on your next one! I know what you mean, I had a c-section, and I think they jacked it up, LOL.

Well, ladies. I, too, have the post baby sag, no matter how much weight I lose it stays the same. After two c-sections, maybe I just have to accept it is there and let it be a reminder of the two little miracles I have. Or get a tummy tuck! haha. congrats herbie. you have done so good.

thanks for the comments, all. Graciepoo and timshel, I'm with you on the tummy stuff. I also had two c sections and I think Graciepoo is right: best to work on it as I can but remember that a saggy tummy is a very small price to pay for having two wonderful little people in my life. :) As I heard one woman in the locker room say to her friend one day "I gave up one perfect belly to create two perfect bellies."

Way to go, Herbie! You've really been an inspiration for me to get off my butt and make some changes to my diet. Thanks for setting a great example, and congratulations on reaching your goal!
