kmkjmomma's Journal, 15 January 2013

fell off on the journaling/tracking food, but still doing good, the idiot box shows a lower number...doing Curves 2-3 days/week - didn't feel like going yesterday and wasn't going to go, but remembered something i needed to get at the store, so i went...glad i did.

My FB friend from AUS passed away yesterday, early morning my time. So sad, and don't think I really have my head around it yet. It was SO fast...She and her man were going to get married in July, they did it on the 14th (they're 19 hours ahead of us, so it was the 13th for me), and she passed less than 24 hours later. she leaves behind 1 y/o twins, a 2 1/2-3 y/o daughter (the twin of this daughter passed of heart problems a couple months ago), there's also a late-teen/early 20 (?) daughter...and she had miscarried twins early in 2012. Such a hard life, you'd think she'd have gotten a break somewhere...........

one other thought - Atkins folks, if you're eating pork rinds, watch out for the hard bits!! I broke a tooth eating one on Friday!! contacted the company, and was shocked when they actually got back to me, but heard what I expected to hear, that there is a certain percentage of the 'hard bits' that are allowed to get thru, like getting an unpopped kernel of corn...so it wouldn't be negligence on their part. I figured, so now I need to decide how 'into' i want to get fixing the tooth. it's on the upper right side, but not visible unless i really "open wide" lol, and right now with the exception of being pretty rough, doesn't hurt.....We'll see what the dentist says after I decide when I want to go in - but I am NOT putting a lot of time and $$$ into it.

Hope everyone has a good day!

I am so sorry about your friend; it is wonderful that she and her fiance were able to get married. At least she can rest in peace knowing that he is taking care of her children and I am certain she is watching from above holding her baby. It is a very sad situation.

thanks Jaime - it was a pretty stressful time, and that was just for the group that we belong to - I just can't even imagine the stress and pain for her family. Michael, her husband, has been posting a lot of things that she had written on her laptop - very hard to read without tearing up, but catartic at the same time.

Sorry to hear about your friend! Such a lot for one family to endure. Glad they were able to get married though. She was more likely to be at peace because of it.
