Was a a friend's last night and she put out a plate of cookies and mini-donuts (one of my big weaknesses). I couldn't believe the goblins that came out of the shadows in my head. "Oohh, you're not losing very fast anyway - what the hell - one mini donut won't hurt..." - "oh, you can make up for it tomorrow by reducing your daily carbs" - etc etc. It reminded me of when I was in my twenties and quitting smoking. I had to actually imagine them as real goblins trying to destroy me, get mad at them and refuse to do what they demanded! And I did! Gold star for the day.

Elizabeth, that is a real accomplishment. Love that you turned those goblins on their ear! I may have to employ that technique.
