My first CXWORX class has left me with sore abs and the need for a day of rest. It didn't feel like I was torturing my abs during the half hour, and I felt good at being able to do stuff like a side plank (without modification), planks; all manner of core work. Imagine sitting on a mat on one cheek (so you're leaning to one side, leaning back on your hands, bending your knees & pulling them towards your chest, then extending them out without touching them down, in time with the music, several times, in perfect form. Then doing the other side... plus a whole lot more.

Of course, the Zumba class I took an hour after that probably contributed to my body needing a little time to repair itself. Heck, I want to be able to go to my 2 Zumba classes tomorrow, lol!

I spent the rest of the day running around shopping for just the right stuff for my partner's trip to Costa Rica. Thank heavens for leftovers; dinner was leftover Turkey Enchilada Casserole, some avocado, and some quickly cooked zucchini.

One good thing about that core workout yesterday was that it took my appetite away for quite a while, and today I'm too sore to THINK of eating too much. :o) I think I'll try to fit that class into my schedule a few times a week, firm up this tummy of mine.

I made some pumpkin corn cottage cheese pancakes this morning (my own concoction) while my partner was getting ready to go take Mom out for breakfast; now I need to make some of the Pumpkin Pancakes that I made last week so my partner can take them to work tomorrow. Later we have errands to run, then I'm making a quick ham & pineapple pizza & a salad for dinner (using a Boboli whole wheat crust). I'll go easy on lunch, lol.

I suppose its time to take my shower and get moving with the housework I have to do, like cleaning Beau's fountain upstairs, general cleaning, making those pancakes, watering the plants on the deck & porch, cleaning the inside of the windows on my car; all manner of fun stuff. I'll be ready to go running errands this afternoon after a nice lunch including lots of veggies (that's the plan, anyway).

Thank you, HCB. Beau is doing well, keeping active & healthy, more hungry in this winter, just like most of us. :o) our Maui trip will be two weeks starting the second week in March. My partner's birthday id a couple days after we get there; I'll have to think up something special to celebrate.
